Fried Chicken
Ingredients:
6 chicken thighs
6 chicken breasts
31/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsp salt
1 tsp black paper
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
2 quart vegetable oil for frying
How to make it:
In a large bowl, whisk together buttermilk or water, 2 tbsp salt, 2 tbsp
sugar, and 8 cloves of garlic (chopped). Add in the chicken pieces. Cover the
bowl with plastic and refrigerate for 5 hours.
Prepare the breading by combining the flour, paprika, black pepper,
baking powder, onion powder, garlic powder, and sugar in a large bowl
or in a gallon sized plastic bag. Mix it thoroughly.
Put chicken in the plastic bag with flour, seal the bag and shake to coat well.
When ready to cook, fill a large skillet about ½ full with vegetable oil.
Heat oil to 350 degrees, then put in as many chicken pieces as the
skillet can hold. Browned the chicken in hot oil on both sides for about
15-20 minutes, then take the chicken out and let them aside.
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees, put the chicken in and cook for 25-30 minutes.
Make sure the chicken is cooked thoroughly.
Enjoy!
