Hidden Figures (2017) The movie talks about the story of a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program. It is so inspirational and entertaining with winning performances across the board and an incredibly valuable history lesson. Also, is available on Disney plus. 2. The help (2011) An aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960s decides to write a book detailing the African American maids' point of view on the white families for which they work, and the hardships they go through on a daily basis. It's available for rent at Amazon prime.  3.Gloria: In her own words (2011) A documentary about Gloria Steinem whose career as a journalist and a pivotal member of the feminist movement has left an indelible mark.
