Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Started in 1961, Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) focuses on advocacy and raising awareness about Domestic Violence, ways to stop it, recognizing signs of abuse, listen and sharing survivor's stories, and sharing and spread information about resources available to find help or support for survivors.

We at the Women's Resource Center think that is an incredibly important issue that needs to be talked about more often. According to the The Hotline "on average, more than 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in the US will experience rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner".  Therefore, we are committed to help raise awareness about domestic violence throughout October and onwards, with film showings, discussions, and Healthy Relationship Workshops with Project Survive.

Please join our upcoming Healthy Relationship Workshop by Project Survive on October 16th between 12-1:20 Pm on our Zoom link--> https://cccconfer.zoom.us/j/6793654266
