Banh Mi Sandwich


This is a sandwich I make at home for my family. It is a very popular and easy to eat. 



Ingredient: 

Bread, chicken breast, ham, cucumber, cilantro, Jalapeno pepper, carport and daikon pickles

White meat chicken spread, and mayonnaise.



 I use the mayonaise mayonnaise for sandwiches. 



This is white meat chicken spread.


 The steps how to make it: 

  • Bake bread in a small oven for few minutes (optional)

  • Cut bread into half 

  • Spread a thin layer of chicken spread onto the bread

  • Spread a layer of mayonnaise 

  • Place the chicken breast and ham slices 

  • Put cucumber, cilantro, and carrot and daikon pickle

  • Put Jalapeno for spice (optional)

    The carrot and daikon pickle recipe

     

The Ingredients:

 

  • 1 large carrot peeled
  • 1midium daikon peeled

  • ½ tbs salt

  • ½ -1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup rice (white) vinegar

  • 1 cup water

  • 3 garlic cloves(optional)


How to make the sauce:

  • Put sugar, salt, vinegar into warm water and mix well.

  • Wait for it to cool by placing it into the fridge

 How to prepare the carrot and daikon:

  • Cut carrot and daikon into a thin sticks

  • Out in 1 tbsp of salt into carrot and daikon,

    mix them together well, wait for 15-20 minutes 

  • Rinse carrot and daikon in cold water, then squeeze completely the Carrot and daikon by hand 

  • Transfer carrot and daikon into a small jar

  • Put the sauce mixture that was already made earlier into the jar

  • Put in the refrigerator, it could be used in an hour

  • This can last for a few weeks in the refrigerator.
